An epidemic sweeps over Neopia!
This year, Neopets started getting sick. While worried owners drove themselves nuts looking for a cure, the disease hadn't yet been identified.
BULLETIN [12:51:59 pm NST]: The mystery disease has been identified as the Scourgies. It is highly contagious. Avoiding contact with other Neopets is critical at this stage so the disease does not spread any further. Doctors are continuing to look for a cure before all hope is lost.
Then these little markers started showing up in different areas of Neopets, warning of a high risk of infection if you continued on.
Once the disease was identified, more of the story unfolded.
Despite scrambling for a cure, users who visited the pharmacy were greeted with some startling news.
Thankfully, it was short lived, and cures were made available.
